To imitate the FreeForums.org logo style, you can either download the .psd in this post or by adding the following effects to your text… Note: You will need the Essai Font to replicate it

  1. Create a new file 300px (Width) by 70px (Height) with a transparent background.
  2. Type the first of two messages you would like have the effect of the phpBB logo using the Essai font face. Set the alignment of the text to center. (Use separate layers for each word)
  3. Place the text in the middle of your canvas.
  4. In the layer properties open up the blending options and add the following effects to the first word:

    5. Drop Shadow…

    Bevel and Emboss…

    Gradient Overlay…

    Stroke…

  5. Then add these effects to your second word:

    6. Drop Shadow…

    Bevel and Emboss…

    Gradient Overlay…

    Stroke…

  6. Copy the effects of your first word, to your last word.
